"Midlife Glow" is the first single taken from the upcoming Hip Hop mixtape Real To Reel by Australian Funk & Soul pioneers The Bamboos. It continues their run of new music after their live album with Melbourne Symphony Orchestra Live At Hamer Hall, both following on from 2021's triumphant ARIA Award nominated album Hard Up.

The project pairs their signature live Funk sound with some of the most insightful rappers working today. "Midlife Glow" features Lansing, Michigan MC Ozay Moore, who observes how much genuine life experience adds to talent, something never discussed in today's fast burn Hip Hop landscape. His thoughtful rhymes paired with a deep & introspective Bamboos groove makes the song an utterly perfect match.

"Hip Hop has been part of the DNA of The Bamboos from the very beginning and beyond", says the band's founder and guitarist Lance Ferguson. "Whether deliberately dropping extended Drum breaks into our tunes with DJs and producers in mind, or featuring MCs like Ohmega Watts, Lyrics Born, J-Live and Ty on our songs. It made total sense to devote a full-out release to show this side of our sound."

Ozay Moore added "As a longtime fan of the Bamboos, this collaboration hits different. I'm honored to have caught a vibe with them on Midlife Glow."
